A Built-In Fireplace

This is originally what the left wall in the Westville looked like. I found this fire place at a flea market which was really cute but the whole wall still felt incomplete.

So I started working on building a built in. The center is the floor the ceiling fireplace and each side will be made to look like cupboards.

Fireplace is 4inches wide. Left cupboard is 3inches and right cupboard is 5inches.

Cut coffee stirrers to create a design for the cupboard doors and drawers.

Painted the sides the same color as the walls in the rest of the room. The tops are real wood so that I could stain them.

3D printed handles and spray painted them gold.

I got cork board from the dollar tree – they already have adhesive on the back.

Cut them into brick shapes, using a box cutter can be helpful.

I then painted them white which I forgot to take a photo of.

After painting white I filled the spaces between the bricks in with spackle. I used my hands which made the spackle easier the maneuver.

After the spackle dried I added a coat of modge podge over the whole thing.

Cut and stained a wooden dowel then glued it to the front as the mantel!

Added floating shelves to complete the look!
