The Fairfield

I have picked my next dollhouse to complete – the Fairfield.

This dollhouse is a 1/2 scale (1:24) so it will be smaller than the last two doll houses. It is a greenfield like the last two. I’ve enjoyed how easy it has been to put together greenfield dollhouses so I might as well do one more. I’ve already been contemplating color schemes (with the help of color palettes from pinterest) that I’m really excited about. Still unsure what color I’ll do for the outside but interior colors I have solidified. With the size being smaller I’m looking forward to a new challenge. This may also bring upon some challenges when furnishing but I may also start thinking or looking into making some custom pieces myself!

It has been ordered and should arrive between Wednesday and Friday!

Update:
A few hours after I wrote this post I purchased ANOTHER dollhouse. Oops.
I was on hobbylobby.com and discovered that the Orchid Dollhouse was only $35 (versus $47 on Amazon). It also qualified for their 40% off coupon, which brought the total down to $21! So I really felt as though I could not pass that up. With shipping/taxes/etc it came out to $31 – still cheap in my eyes. So In addition to the Fairfield I will also have the Orchid to work on!
