Construction Day 1!

Felt so good to be starting a new build. Day one was completed in about 2 hours time. It consisted mainly of finding the pieces I needed (which took a big longer than I thought it would). Greenleaf instructions continue to be a bit confusing for this build as well as the last. They’re simplistic at times and it does take some assumption and intuition to really know what the instructions are asking you to do. It took a few reads of the same sentence over and over to figure out what it wanted. And what pieces I needed. But I figured it out. I think that its a little easier since this is the second house I am doing, I got used to the cryptic instructions while working on the Willow.

Day 1 consisted of finding and sandpapering the two pieces that will make up the front wall and the two side walls. It also consisted of finding and sanding the 37 little pieces that make up the exterior window sills and trim as well as the front door trim. Let’s just say I definitely sneezed more than once with all the dust from the sandpapering.

But at the end of day 1 the front door trim and exterior windows are glued and left to dry.
