Wallpapering

First attempt at wallpaper was the second floor hallway. I wanted to at least try it before attempting the kitchen which is a bigger more important space. I used scrapbook paper for the wallpaper, it was relatively thick card stock which made it easy to work with.

Measuring out the room was a little difficult but after multiple times I got it right. The paper length was longer than the room so adjustments had to be made. For the back wall I folder the sides so that the corners would look clean.

I mixed regular glue with water to paste the paper to the wall. Putting the mixture on both the wall and the paper before pasting the paper to the wall. I tried my best to smooth the paper out so there would be no bubbles. I added plain glue to the corners to help them stick fully. With just the mixture they weren’t initially staying down but the extra glue definitely helped.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I left it to set/dry over night. Here it was the next morning after it finished drying.

Update with the windows cut out. Its a little messy looking (floor and ceiling), I’m hoping as other details come together it’ll look cleaner and more put together:
