Second and third floors are up! The second floor and second floor partitions were simple enough to put up. I again had the issue with the tabs fitting into slots but learning from yesterday it took me much less time to do. Sanding, cutting, fitting. Rise & repeat.

The third floor was not as easy. Not only do you need to fit it to the front wall but it also needs to line up with the second floor partitions (interior walls). 8 tabs lining up to 8 slots. I sanded, cut, and fitted over and over but it still wasn’t fitting right. Took me about a half an hour to realized I would need to bend the flooring in order for everything to fit, but how would it dry and stay in place? Painters tape! So I put the glue where it needed to go (interior walls and front wall) and taped the third floor to the front wall, one side at a time in place.

Now to let it dry! Next steps will be to put up the left and right side walls (I think more painters tape will be in store). Next steps in construction will take place after Thanksgiving. Looking forward to a much needed vacation, but I’m already excited to continue construction when I get back. Happy Thanksgiving!
